![]() ![]() Please supply a log file and I will take a look to ensure you don't have some other issue going on in your install. If the engine is staging on launch something else is wrong. Have you tried the craft file download I have set-up? It's available as a separate zip download in the OP. I am currently working on re-balancing it's ISP, thrust, air, fuel, etc. Yes the Ranger engines airbreathing mode needs some tweaks. I am working on the settings for the engines. ![]() is there known mod conflicts so far in 1.1.2 because I'm pretty sure that's what's going on or the craft files are broken for me it's got me kinda urched because this is friken awsome but I can't figure it out. So on Ranger, it's ur vtol engine, on the shuttle it's ur main engines. I've tried a few other things but the craft engines will start the second the game fully loads in. But a bug I'm also experiencing Is on craft load, engine start without pressing space bar. Weirdest thing ever because the little dingy shuttle works fine. I figured that out after I tried what u said first. Intake air totally stops on left side, causing engine cut out on Manuel. Definitely something else, because I tried that. The engines switch to closed-cycle at 3km if left on has already said he'll take a look at the Ranger's performance though. ![]() The death spiral probably means you had the mode change set to manual. I tested it with my clean install of KSP. there is always RSS if you want realism. It's not a mod conflict. the endurance is not real, and this is a game. although it has probably been brought up before, TAC life support compatibility the Delta-V can be the same if more of the spacecraft's mass is propellant how the ranger and lander can have such high-isp engines, I cannot understand. the maximum isp possible with a closed-cycle gas-core nuclear thermal rocket is about 3060s, and for a fusion thermal engine it is about 4400s. more realistic ranger and lander engines. perhaps a small patch to make this compatible with near future propulsion? like engines that run off liquid hydrogen? Atomic rockets says the top thrust a magnetoplasma engine can have is about 20kN, or a bit less than half the thrust of an LV-909 or LV-N since the endurance itself does not have to worry about landing or taking off on those engines, there is no reason nor to make the thrust more realistic. the plasma thrusters have way too much thrust. this could easily be fixed by bumping up the isp of the plasma thrusters (after all, I did not expect 'Super-efficient' to mean an isp of only 4200s, when high-isp magnetoplasma engines can get up to 10,000 - 30,000s) However in the mod the endurance only has a Delta-V of around 17km/s. a few calculations based on what went on in the movie puts the Delta-V of the endurance at 120-130km/s, and that assumes gravitational slingshots are used for all relativistic burns. the isp of the lander's engines is inconsistent, please fix that if possible however there are a few quick questions/suggestions I should point out to make the mod closer both to the movie and to reality Hello, i've had this mod for the last few weeks, and I have really enjoyed seeing the amount of time and effort put into it. ![]()
