She seemed extremely disinterested and said something to the effect of, "oh, really? Hmm, wow." No insistence or offer to correct the mistake, literally, just "wow, really?" My husband, being the non-confrontational go with the flow kind of guy changes the conversation and asks for more water. Again, another 5+ minutes I make eye contact with the waitress and he explains he got the wrong wings. My husband realizes that they gave him the wrong wings. The vegetarian egg rolls are tiny and flavorless. Meanwhile, we've also drank the entire bottle of water that was provided however she couldn't be bothered to notice. Waitress sets the food down, "here you go," and leaves. The order arrives maybe 25 minutes later. He decides to order instead the Street Platter which comes with chicken wings, papaya salad and sticky rice and specifies he wants siracha honey garlic wings. Two wings come with the order at a cost of $8. My husband initially wants to order chicken wings he asks how many wings come with the order- two. We ask a few questions and decide that we're going to order appetizers. Finally the waitress returns (since the time we walked in the front door to being asked what we'd like to order about 20 minutes has passed). We begin to look at the menu and realize, yes, the prices are a bit higher than expected, but again, no big deal. Ok, so at this point, I am determining that communication is not this particular waitresses strength. Without responding she walks away and returns another 5 minutes later with the water. The waitress finally returns about 5 minutes later with menus. We anticipate prices being a bit higher because of this, no problem, but were hopeful the service wouldn't be sacrificed. We noticed the placard at the table that says that they pay their staff a "living wage" and tip is not required.
